Kaliru Communications, a social and behavioural change communications agency launches in India

Trichy, India - We are delighted to announce the launch of Kaliru Communications LLP, a new social and behavioural change communications agency headquartered in India.

Firmly grounded in behavioural science and communication theories, Kaliru Communications aims to provide a range of services – communications strategies,  participatory communication campaigns, content production of written and visual assets, photography, film making and animations – for international development, non-governmental and humanitarian organisations, non-profits and businesses.

Kaliru Communications is new, but the sum of our team members’ experience is more than 100 years. “We are an independent agency with a core group of professionals from all around the globe. United by a common goal, we aim to use the power of communications to create an equitable world. We are coming together to put years of experience to solve communications challenges for clients in all of Asia, Europe and the Americas”, said Kalpana Vincent, Founder of Kaliru Communications. 

 

About the Founder

 

Kalpana Vincent (Indian)  has more than 16 years of experience in the communications landscape as a television producer, in-house communications practitioner and a consultant to global organisations – UNICEF, WHO, Global Fund to End Modern Slavery, My Choices Foundation, Open, World Vision, Humanity & Inclusion, FLSmidth, Standard Chartered and Operation Blessing – both in India and internationally. 

 

Kalpana earned her Master degree in Communications and Journalism from Madurai Kamaraj University, India. Her specialist qualifications include Digital Communications from the Chartered Institute of Public Relations, United Kingdom and Strategic Communications for Social Impact from MICA, India.

The Kaliru Strategic Advisory Board

Our Strategic Advisory Board is made up of exceptional leaders with international recognitions and brings relevant experience, tremendous knowledge and vast networks to the table. These leaders will provide business insight, challenge our thinking and apply their learnings to help Kaliru Communications ensure exceptional solutions that are at the absolute forefront and on the highest international level.

Jesper Buris Larsen, (Danish) holds over 25 years of expertise in the international business development and communications arena with a focus on helping businesses realise their potential. He has an exceptional understanding of issues management, public affairs, branding, and social, cultural and economic dynamics. He has a broad network of decision-makers across the globe and a proven track record in identifying and nurturing talent. We believe that his knowledge and mentorship will help Kaliru develop strategic alliances, channel partnerships and expand international presence. Currently, he serves as Chairman of the Board for Get Visual A/S, Denmark. Prior to that, he has held various executive positions, including Chief Executive Officer, Danish National Museum of Science & Technology and Global Communications Director at FLSmidth & Co. A/S, playing a strategic role in building businesses to market-leading positions. 

Vanessa Julia Carpenter, (Canadian) is an entrepreneur, business advisor, inspirational speaker and change maker. She holds a Ph. D. in Interaction Design and Future Technologies, and her wealth of knowledge and breadth of experience spans across art, design and technology. Through her work, she unlocks the potential of emerging technologies and shapes the future of design for a meaningful future with technology. Through her own venture Kintsugi Design, she helps technology companies take a critical look at their futures and uses educated risk-taking to drive change. She has held various leadership positions, including the Chief Executive Officer at Illutron, a Collaborative Interactive Arts Studio and been a Lead Technology Specialist at Force Technology. She is the co-founder of a feminist think tank, The Making Tank. She also serves as a board member, jury member and strategic advisor to a variety of companies and organizations.

Vivian Anthony Isaac, (Indian) brings over 37 years of experience in organisational leadership, strategic media planning, communications, programme management, fundraising and community engagement from humanitarian organisations, media houses, advertising, and communications agencies. He is a strong advocate for partnerships and is fondly known as a ‘difference-maker’ amongst his peers. Currently, he serves as a Programme Director for the anti-trafficking wing of My Choices Foundation and works to prevent child trafficking and commercial sexual exploitation of children through community engagement. Prior to this, he led Operation Blessing and CBN Foundation in India and helped prominent brands achieve their marketing objectives through effective media campaigns.
